Why I started Costa Rica Babysitters Club

I founded Costa Rica Babysitters Club for two reasons — and both matter equally.

The first is for the children. I wanted to build something where kids aren't simply watched — they're cared for. Where their sitter arrives with a plan, a warm heart, and a bag full of age-appropriate fun. Where the afternoon ends with a craft finished, a story read, a new game invented, and a child who asks, "When is she coming back?"

The second is for you, the parent. I know the feeling — you love your kids deeply, and you also need a night out. A dinner that doesn't involve cutting up someone else's food. A surf session, a wedding, a work event, or simply a quiet walk on the beach. You deserve to step out the door and truly relax, knowing your little ones are in the best hands — safe, happy, stimulated, and genuinely engaged, not parked in front of a screen.

That peace of mind is the whole point. Every sitter in our club has been personally interviewed by me, reference-checked, and chosen because I would trust them with my own children. They show up on time, they come prepared, and they treat your kids like family — because to us, that's the only way to do this.
